At present, our senior-care real estate is still at the early stage of development and in the process of developing to the multi-form senior-care community from the single senior-care apartment; there is a small number of senior-care communities, but it lacks of a set of mature development mode. In recent years, the number of true senior-care real estate projects around the nation is increasing, in particular in recent two years; the number and quality of senior-care real estate projects improve sharply, and the whole development of senior-care real estate presents a good development trend. 

    According to incomplete statistics, up to the end of 2013, there were 68 existing senior-care real estate projects in China (such project refers to the senior-care real estate project in operation and for sale around the nation), with an increase of about 15 projects, at a growth rate of 22%, compared with that in the end of 2012. After the tourist real estate, the senior-care real estate has become the new focus of all developers; at present, over 25% of brand real-estate enterprises have entered to or announced to enter to the senior-care real estate industry, but how to achieve a successful entry is still to be explored due to the features of senior-care real estate, including great investment, slow return, etc.

Development of our senior-care real estate obviously has a regional character; East China and North China are the regions where senior-care real estate projects are most concentrated, especially Shanghai, Beijing and other cities with relatively high economic level and popularity density, while the scale of single project respectively in South China, Southwest China and Central China is relatively large.
