Recently, the State Council has approved subway construction plans of 22 cities with a total investment of RMB882.003 billion. Till 2016, China will complete construction of 89 new rail transit routes with a total construction mileage of 2500 kilometers. As China has already become world-largest urban rail transit construction market, domestic and international rail transit manufacturers, attracted by the business opportunities valuing nearly one trillion yuan, are competing each other to seize market share.
