The Luanda Airport Extra-large Bridge is totally 2.9 kilometers long. Its main engineering volume is mainly composed of 380 simply supported T beams, two 24+32+24 meter cast-in-place continuous beams, 90 round-end solid piers, and 11 portal frame piers, and one T-shaped abutment.

To ensure the successful pouring of the first simply supported T beam in this bidding section, Lei Jun-CA Construction, Limited of China Hyway Group takes “Build up a high-quality railway” as the goal, and strictly inspects the formwork, steel bars, concrete, pre-stressed materials and others to make sure that the quality of incoming raw materials is qualified, and repeatedly debug the tooling equipment in the field to well prepare for the pouring of the simply supported T beam concrete. The successful pouring of the first simply supported T beam has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent construction.

The Railway Branch Project of Luanda New International Airport is an EPC turnkey project, which is jointly undertaken by China Hyway Group Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Oubaiwei Co., Ltd. The project owner is the Ministry of Transport of Angola. The main work contents of the project are: new expansion project of five stations, station yard renovation, roadbed engineering, bridge engineering, track engineering, three power and information engineering. After the completion, it will greatly improve the traffic problems caused by the increase of passengers after the completion of the new airport.
