On July 15, 2010, Mr. José Joao Kuvingua, Deputy Minister of Transport of Angola, together with Mr. Daniel Quipaxe, newly-elected Director of the Railway Bureau, and other government officials, inspected China Hyway Group Limited Mocamedes Railway Project Company and made a four-day investigation on the 1000km railway lines of Mocamedes Railway.

     Each time when arriving at a relatively large station, the group led by Deputy Minister would get off the train for careful inspection on waiting lounge, communication signal control room, railway staff apartment and other facilities regardless of the scorching sun. They expressed satisfaction on lines, buildings and equipment installation. As for security of completed railway station building, communication signal and other facilities, Deputy Minister José Joao Kuvingua requested National Property Protection Police Department to perform duties of protection and ensure security of railway facilities.

     After being changed at the beginning of this year, the Angola government re-organized railway administration departments and put accelerating construction of Mocamedes Railway on the agenda. Purpose of investigation made by Deputy Minister José Joao Kuvingua is to get an indepth understanding of on-site situation and better promote construction of Mocamedes Railway.

      During the inspection, more than ten leaders, including Deputy Minister, the newly elected Director Mr. Daniel Quipaxe and other officials, met with provincial and city-level leaders along the railway and proposed specific requirements for facilitating and accelerating implementation of Mocamedes Railway Project.
