From April 28 to May 1, 2012, Chinese ambassador in Angola Mr. Gao Kexiang and his wife went on a field trip to Huila Province and Namibe Province in South Angola, accompanied by two counselors— Xia Xiaoling and Zhang Aihai. During the trip, the Group inspected Mocamedes Railway built by China Hyway Group Limited and Lubango and Namibe social settlement house project by CITIC Construction Co., Ltd., took the train personally traveling partial section of Mocamedes Railway and visited major railway stations of Mocamedes Railway, including Lubango Railway Station, Namibe Railway Station, Sacumar, etc.

   Mr. Gao Kexiang, accompanied by Counselor Xia Xiaoling, had a work meeting with Governor of Namibe Province, Isaac dos Anjos, Vice-Governor in charge of infrastructure construction, Antònio Correia and other persons in charge from all sections of the provincial government. He was introduced with 2013-2017 Five-Year Development Plan of Namibe and exchanged views with aforesaid officials about further efforts to promote China-invested enterprises to get involved in the economic and social development of Namibe and other issues.
