The Hungary - Serbia Railway is not only a flagship project of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries, but it is also a major project that connects China's joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative with the European development strategy.

The project connects Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and Budapest, the capital of Hungary. It is an electrified railway with a total length of 341.7 kilometers and a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour, of which the Serbian section is 183 kilometers long. The Belgrade - Novi Sad section starting for service is about 80 kilometers long for this time.

He said that today the most modern railway in Europe is put into operation, which not only greatly reduces the travel time between Serbia and Hungary, but also realizes the long-time dream of the Serbian people, which will further promote regional connectivity and Serbia’s economic and social development.

The Hungary - Serbia Railway is another important project that our company has participated in among Serbia’s construction projects, following the delivery of the E763 expressway project.

At the beginning of October 2021, in order to realize the opening of the Belgrade - Novi Sad section of the Hungary-Serbia Railway in March 2022, China Railway International, the general contractor of the project, set the phase goal of building the Novi Sad station in an all-round way. At this time, the Novi Sad station and the last kilometer had not started any work yet. After receiving the construction task of the K76+601 bridge of the Hungary - Serbia Railway, our company worked hard to overcome practical difficulties such as winter construction and lack of resources, overtime work and actively tried to speed up the construction progress through any creative mind.
