On the morning of August 4, 2021, Angola time, Miguel, the mayor of Matara City, Huíla Province, Angola, and leaders of the Municipal Police and Agricultural Bureau visited our Company’s Agricultural Development Demonstration Area for visits and guidance. The local news media accompanied and made corresponding reports.

Wei Ruihai, Vice President of the Group Company and General Manager of Lei Jun-CA Construction, Limited, made careful arrangements for this learning and visiting activity and requested the demonstration area to do a good job in reception.

Mayor Miguel and his entourage visited the potato and corn experimental production area, land development area, rice seedling area and rice processing workshop in the Matara Agricultural Development Demonstration Area, and had a cordial conversation with Qin Yingxue, the person in charge of the Agricultural Development Demonstration Area in Matara.

After the visit, both parties has a discussion. Qin Yingxue, the project manager, introduced that the construction of our Company’s Agricultural Development Demonstration Area in Matara has received strong support and concern from the local government of Angola. While deeply cultivating the Angolan market, China Hyway Group Co., Ltd. actively assumed social responsibility to help improve local people’s livelihood and sustainable development. With the actual practices, the Company fulfilled the responsibilities and obligations of Chinese enterprises. It did not only solved the employment problem for local Angolan people, but also helped train the local people to be agricultural technical personnel and mechanical operators.

Mayor Miguel and his entourage listened in detail to the overall operation model, development scale, agricultural production technology, and mid- to long-term development plan of the Demonstration Area, and then expressed their gratitude to our Company for the warm reception, and fully affirmed and felt satisfied with the development of the demonstration area. Mayor Miguel pointed out that agriculture is part of the diversified economic development. Moreover, he hoped that our Company would make more achievements upon the existing basis and benefit more people. Regarding the difficulties that our Company encountered in the development process, he also said that he would coordinate the relevant departments to resolve through working together.

In the discussion, both parties exchanged views on social security, urban development, labor income tax, and environmental protection, etc.
