Angola’s Transport Minister Cut the Ribbon for Railway Bureau Hospital and Dining Hall Restoration P

Huila Province On the morning of June 15, 2010, Angola’s Transport Minister Tomás, Deputy Transport Minister, Huila Province Governor Isaac and the delegation came to the scene of Railway Bureau Hospital, and with more than one hundred of Angolan and Chinese workers waiting there, cut the ribbon for completion acceptance and delivery of two projects undertaken by China Hyway Group Limited Mocamedes Railway Project Company, including the restoration and extension of Railway Bureau Hospital and the decoration of Railway Bureau Dining Hall.

The restoration and extension project of Railway Bureau Hospital was commenced in June 2009 and completed and delivered to the Railway Bureau for installation of medical devices in December 2009. The total building area of this project is more than 800 square meters; 6 auxiliary buildings are newly constructed around the original hospital, integrating the administrative work, outpatient service, medical care, test, physical examination, pharmacy, and staff accommodation and achieving an extreme optimization and improvement of hospital layout and function on the original basis. 2 additional inpatient wards are built in this extension, and 60 beds (just 10 beds in the past) are added, further satisfying the demand of patients on hospitalization. After the overall restoration project of the outpatient is completed, the area of medical treatment houses is increased by 108 square meters, which enables to provide the “one-stop” service including the hospital guide, appointed examination, etc., thus bring convenience and conform to the patients. The use of comprehensive hospital buildings actively allocates the medical treatment house resources of the whole hospital to some certain degree.

The decoration project of Railway Bureau dining hall was commenced in May 2009 and completed in July. It mainly refers to the reorganization of the original internal pattern and enables the space resources to be applied more effectively. The external restoration and reinforcing and the internal newly-added structures make the dining hall change another appearance and look like one harmonious whole; they not only prevent the water leakage, but also avoid the water seepage. The restored dining hall has a new 80m2 western-food kitchen and a new 20m2 bakery, and is able to accommodate 100 people.

In the cutting-ribbon ceremony, Angola’s Transport Minister spoke highly of high quality and high efficiency of these two projects, and placed a great hope on the quality and period of construction of Mocamedes Railway Overhaul undertaken by our company.

The cutting-ribbon ceremony combined the Chinese and western styles and had the western champagne spray and the Chinese ticker tapes and fireworks display. Wei Ruihai, Qi Feng, Xue Zhongchun, Yang Yi and other leaders of China Hyway Group Limited Mocamedes Railway Project Company attended the cutting-ribbon ceremony.
