On March 18, the 7^th Meeting of the 4^th Council of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGEF) was convened in the Beijing Planetarium. In the meeting, the Council’s annual work report was delivered and relevant resolutions were deliberated and adopted. President of the Council Hu Deping also delivered an important speech in the meeting. Besides, Liu Daiwen, Chairman of the Group Company & council member of the CBCGDF attended the meeting and exchanged views on building Xinminzhou Demonstration Base.
    CBCGDF paid high attention to Xinminzhou Demonstration Base. In May, 2012, Hu Deping, President of the Council, made site inspection and attended awarding ceremony. Entrusted by the district government, the Council organized academicians and experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering to verify the “Feasibility Report of Xinminzhou Wetland Conservation and Ecological Restoration” in January 2013. CBCGDF claimed in the report that it will continue to instruct and facilitate building of the demonstration base, conduct overall planning of the base and organize expert argumentation. Furthermore, it will implement requirements of “pursuing development and achieving development in a well-protected environment” proposed by Premier Li Keqiang in the first meeting of National Committee on Biodiversity Conservation of China during use and maintenance of Xinminzhou resources and carry out concept of biodiversity conservation and green development in economic and social life to realize use of Xinminzhou ecological resources in a scientific and orderly manner and facilitate Industry-University-Research demonstration effect of Xinminzhou throughout the country.
