On the morning of February 17, 2016, China Hyway Group Limited (Ethiopian Branch) completed the asphalt pavement work of a new bid section and made the whole railway completed, which was one month earlier than the schedule made at the end of last year.

Beijing, November 15 (Xinhua) - The Mocamedes Railway, with 876km, located at the south of Angola like an iron dragon and crossing Namibe, Huíla and Cuando Cubango; the overhaul of Mocamedes Railway contracted by Hyway Group, a Chinese private enterprise, was completed successfully a few days ago, making this railway become the traffic and transportation artery in the south of Angola.

In the south of Angola, Mocamedes Railway is just like a steel dragon of 876km (1030km including all station tracks) and traverses Namibe, Huila and Cuando Cubango. Upon completion of the overhaul project contracted by China Hyway Group Limited, Mocamedes Railway is put into successful operation completely and becomes the main track of traffic and transport in the south of Angola. This marks the largest railway project contracted by Chinese private enterprises overseas. Hyway Group delivered the rail staff quarters and schools constructed at the 56 stations along Mocamedes Railway to Angola on the 11th day of this month-just before the 40th anniversary of independence, which marks the overhaul project of Mocamedes Railway lasting for 8 years and costing $1.31 billion was completed.

On November 3, 2015, 32 Angola students from “Jimei University-China Hyway International Program” finished the one year’s course and returned Angola to visit their families.

On October 9, 2015, the house-building project contracted by China Hyway Group Limited (Republic of South Sudan Branch) was successfully completed one week in advance and is now being accepted and delivered; this is the first project completed by Hyway Group in South Sudan; the professional construction team and the service concept of excellence gained recognition from the customer; and the good reputation will lay solid foundation for the future development of Hyway Group in South Sudan.

On September 11, 2015, at the request of the Ministry of Transport of Angola, National Institute of Railways of Angola and Mocamedes Railway Bureau, our company held temporary acceptance & delivery (equivalent to the completion acceptance in China) ceremony at Matala Station.

On the afternoon of June 9, 2015, Mr. Wang Yi, Chairman of Sinosure, signed a complementary agreement with Armando Manue, the Financial Minister of Angola, at the Great Hall of the People before President Xi Jinping and Angolas President dos Santos to increase the insurance coverage.

11 villas of Shandong Hi-speed Base A Project contracted by China Hyway Group Limited (Republic of South Sudan Branch) was successfully topped out on June 7, 2015, which was half a month earlier than the schedule.
