Recall the Glorious Past with Pictures and Films, Forge Ahead on a New Journey

In order to promote the spirit of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and gather the strength to forge ahead, on August 28, 2025 (Angola time), the Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression & the World Anti-Fascist War was grandly held in the Multi-function Hall of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Angola. More than 60 people including Dai Shuangming - Embassy Minister-Counselor, Li Yifan - Consul, representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and overseas Chinese youth in Angola attended the commemoration. Our party member representatives Gao Lijie and Wei Zhiqiang were invited to attend the event.

Led by embassy staff, the delegates visited a photo exhibition of the atrocities committed by the Japanese invaders and the national spirit of the Chinese people fighting bloody battles, and then watched the documentary 'The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru'.

Dai Shuangming (Minister-Counselor) said that 80 years ago, at a historical moment of life and death for the Chinese nation, the Communist Party of China held high the banner of the Anti-Japanese National United Front, led the Chinese people to fight bravely, and achieved a great victory of saving the nation from extinction and going down in history, making great contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. The purpose of this event is to educate everyone to remember history, cherish the memory of the martyrs, promote the great spirit of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, gather strength to forge ahead, and promote national rejuvenation. The vast majority of overseas Chinese should continue to promote the spirit of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, care about the motherland, safeguard the country's image, and help the great cause of national reunification and the construction of a strong country.
