On August 25, 2025, His Royal Highness Tengku Muhammad Ismail Ibni Al-Wathiqu Billah Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Muhammad Ismail Ibni Al-Wathiqu Billah Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin), the Crown Prince of Terengganu, Malaysia, along with the royal delegation, visited our company’s Green Universe Environmental Technology Hazardous Waste Treatment Plant. They were accompanied by Yang Berbahagia Dato' Haji Rosli Bin Latif, Deputy State Secretary (Development Affairs) of Terengganu, officials from the Kemaman Municipal Council, as well as Yang Berbahagia Dato' Baidzawi Bin Che Mat, Chief Executive Officer of the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC), and his delegation.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and his delegation visited core processing workshop of Phase I Project, observed the demonstration of advanced technologies under development, received a detailed briefing on the project’s development progress and sustainable development initiatives, and visited the plant facilities and laboratories. The delegation recognized the significant role of the project in the future development of hazardous waste management in Malaysia. The Crown Prince also expressed his commitment to providing strong policy support for the project. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s visit to the Green Universe Environmental Integrated Hazardous Waste Treatment Plant not only reflects the Malaysian Royal Family attach great importance to the national strategy of “environmental governance and sustainable industrial development”, but also demonstrates their firm support for the Sino-Malaysia cooperation in environmental technologies under the framework of the Belt and the Road Initiative.
China Hyway will continue to focus on technological upgrades, enhance the annual treatment capacity of Phase I, while accelerating the construction of Phase II. Based on this project’s successful model of “combining Chinese capital, Chinese technology and equipment, and an integrated investment–construction–operation model”, China Hyway will expand into other overseas markets. In collaboration with China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure), Chinese banks, and other institutions, China Hyway will design a package of “cross-border RMB financing” tools to provide full-cycle financial support for the project. At the same time, the company will nurture local technical talent, achieving a synergistic output of “technology, capital, and talent.” We firmly believe that, under the goals of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality” and amid ASEAN’s green transformation, China Hyway will join hands with Malaysian partners to develop the Terengganu project into a flagship Belt and Road Initiative program for sustainable development, together writing a new chapter in green growth.
