On June 16, CCTV News reported “Silk Road for Common Development | New Opportunities, New Momentum! 230s to Unlock the New Changes in Aktau Port”, focusing on the modern container hub project of Aktau Port undertaken by Kazakhstan Branch of China Hyway.

The report pointed out that the phase I of the pilot area of the Aktau Port Container Hub Project, Kazakhstan's largest port and another benchmark project for high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road” between China and Kazakhstan, has been officially put into operation. For the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, this project is a modern “fuel station” and “dispatch station”, which will inject strong momentum into the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor.

Located on the coast of the Caspian Sea, Aktau Port is an important shipping hub in Central Asia and has attracted great attention from both governments since its launch. On April 18, 2024, President Tokayev visited the Aktau International Port project site and fully affirmed and highly praised the smooth progress of the project.

At present, the core sectors such as track beam and large plate area concrete pouring, underground pipe network and road infrastructure construction, which are mainly undertaken by our company, have fully entered the substantive construction stage. In order to ensure the high-quality and high-standard advancement of the project, since entering the site in March, our company has quickly established a project management team, deployed capable construction forces, strictly controlled construction safety, quality and environmental protection standards, actively introduced advanced construction technology and management concepts, strengthened the collaborative operation mechanism between Chinese and Kazakhstan teams, and created a model of efficient cooperation.
