Group President Hu Jiaming Visits Iraq to Deepen Strategic Cooperation in the Middle East

From October 12 to 18, 2025, Group President Hu Jiaming led a delegation for a one-week inspection and research to the Iraq branch. During the visit, President Hu Jiaming conducted an in-depth review of the Iraq branch's operations and made strategic decisions regarding market development. He emphasized that the branch should leverage the Group's strengths and develop scientific business strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of the Iraqi market. He called for simultaneous advancement of both engineering and non-engineering sectors, with particular acceleration in the development of non-engineering business.

During the visit, President Hu Jiaming met with senior officials from Iraqi government departments and partners to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration and advance the implementation of key projects.

On the morning of October 18, President Hu Jiaming led the delegation to visit Counselor Yu Shiwei of the Commercial Section at the Chinese Embassy in Iraq, reporting on the Group’s business operations in Iraq. Counselor Yu Shiwei commended the Group's commitment to work safety and its ongoing efforts to cultivate the market. He also provided a thorough overview of Iraq's macroeconomic environment, highlighted market opportunities, and explained support policies available to Chinese enterprises.
