Remembering History, Cherishing Peace

On September 14, 2025, Angola time, the symposium 'Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War Victory' was grandly held in Hall 7 of Rose Garden, hosted by the China General Chamber of Commerce in Angola.

Nearly 100 people gathered together, including Dai Shuangming, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Angola, Consul Wang Qixuan, Pei Wenhua, President of the China General Chamber of Commerce in Angola and leaders at all levels of the Chamber, as well as representatives from various overseas Chinese associations and chambers of commerce in Angola, and director and member organizations. Through reviewing history and peace declarations, they united the patriotic sentiments and peaceful beliefs of overseas Chinese.

The symposium was hosted by Hao Xiujuan, Secretary of the China General Chamber of Commerce in Angola. Guo Xiaomin, General Manager of Lei Jun-CA Construction, Limited, and other representatives were invited to attend the event on behalf of the Group Company.

The attendees visited the exhibition showcasing the history of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, where display boards vividly presented the magnificent 14-year Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression through precious historical materials, highlighting the heroic spirit of the Chinese nation that fears no powerful enemies and fights to the end.

The symposium kicked off with the solemn 'National Anthem of the People's Republic of China'. In his speech, Minister-Counselor Dai Shuangming stated that the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was a historical turning point for the Chinese nation from decline to revival, demonstrating the resilience and unity of the Chinese people. He hoped that the vast number of overseas Chinese compatriots in Angola would inherit the great spirit of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and work together for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The embassy would continue to uphold 'diplomacy for the people' and work with overseas compatriots to promote the long-term sustainable development of China-Angola relations.

President Pei Wenhua expressed that overseas Chinese deeply understand that peace and development are hard-won. The China General Chamber of Commerce in Angola would continue to unite Chinese compatriots in Angola, promote patriotic spirit, actively advance China-Angola friendly cooperation, and practice the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Our company representative, Guo Xiaomin, delivered a speech and stated that revisiting the spirit of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is not only to remember history and honor martyrs, but for Chinese communities who work abroad long-term, it is also necessary to inherit the national spirit and inspire patriotic feelings. We must keep our motherland in our hearts, unite as one, and support the motherland's unification and rejuvenation with concrete actions.

Subsequently, the attendees collectively watched 'Documentary Dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression' and actively shared their thoughts in connection with their experience of watching the Military Parade held in Beijing, China on September 3, 2025.
