At 12:00 noon on April 28, 2025, Angola time, the completion documents for the five major transportation hub station projects supporting Luanda New Airport were officially signed at Bungo Railway Station. Over 100 individuals, including Énio Renato de Magalhães Costa, Chairman of the National Land Transport Management Committee of Angola (the Project Employer), Kanda, Director of Luanda Railway Company (CFL), Director of the Luanda Railway Bureau, and other government officials, as well as Wei Ruihai, Vice President of China Hyway Group Limited; Guo Xiaomin, General Manager of Lei Jun-CA Construction, Limited; Lin Jianhua, Deputy General Manager; and local news media representatives, witnessed this historic moment together.


His Excellency Chairman Énio Renato de Magalhães Costa expressed his heartfelt thanks to the diligent China Hyway employees for their contributions to the project. He also extended his gratitude to the Luanda Railway Company and the National Land Transport Management Committee for their seamless coordination and support. The signing of the completion document marks the project's shift from the construction phase to the operation phase. It is anticipated that the operator will responsibly utilize and maintain the station facilities and infrastructure. Additionally, this moment signifies a new chapter in collaborative efforts among all parties involved.

Vice President Wei Ruihai expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Chairman for his unwavering support and trust in China Hyway and extended his thanks to the Luanda Railway Company and National Land Transport Management Committee for their invaluable coordination and assistance during the construction phase of the project. It is both an honor and responsibility for us to contribute to the advancement of transportation in Angola. Looking ahead, we aim to strengthen cooperation with all parties, engage in more high-quality projects, and continue driving the development of Angola's transport infrastructure, thereby benefiting local communities and bolstering economic growth.

Following the launch of domestic passenger flights at the new airport on November 7, 2024, the multi-functional stations of Bungo, Musseques, Viana, Baia, and Airport Station collectively manage a daily passenger volume of 8,000, offering Luanda residents a new and efficient travel option.
