The Group Company signs a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with the Papua New Guinea (Shanghai) Business Representative Office

On September 30, 2024, the Group Company signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with the Papua New Guinea (Shanghai) Business Representative Office in Suzhou. The two parties have reached a preliminary cooperation intention in areas such as infrastructure construction and energy and mineral development.

Mr. Wu Zhiqiang, Counselor of the Papua New Guinea (Shanghai) Business Representative Office, and his delegation attended the signing ceremony and held discussions with Mr. Zheng Changgen, Vice President of the Group, Mr. Liu Jiekun, Deputy Chief Economist and Executive Deputy General Manager of the Fifth Business Unit of the Group, and Mr. Wang Hongxu, Deputy General Manager for Operation of the Strategic Operation Department of the Group.

Deputy General Manager Wang Hongxu briefly introduced the business operations of the Group Company during the "Third Five-Year Plan" period and shared the EPC+F financing case of the "Five Stations and One Line" Project.

Executive Deputy General Manager Liu Jiekun stated that the Group Company has extensive experience in overseas project construction. Both parties can refer to the "Five Stations and One Line" model to collaborate on infrastructure construction and trade, and the project models such as "small yet beautiful" model and "integrated investment, construction, and operation" model can be adopted.

Vice President Zheng Changgen introduced the practical experience accumulated by the Group Company in financing and construction of major overseas projects, as well as the development direction of the Group under the new circumstances during the "Fourth Five-Year Plan" Period. He also expressed the Group's willingness to cooperate.

Counselor Wu Zhiqiang introduced information related to Papua New Guinea's politics, national conditions, culture, resources, and projects, and expressed the willingness to cooperate with China Hyway in areas such as infrastructure, new energy, and trade. He also stated that the China Hyway delegation is always welcome to visit Papua New Guinea for on-site investigations.

Mr. Wu Zhiqiang and his delegation visited the Hongtian Building project, which is under construction and invested by the Group.
