On the morning of November 12, 2024, the "2024 Global Supply Chain Development Conference" was held in Chongqing. Liu Jiekun, Deputy Chief Economist and Executive Deputy General Manager of the Fifth Business Unit of China Hyway Group Limited, was invited to attend the conference.

The conference was organized by China-Africa Business Council, aiming to thoroughly implement the "Ten Partnership Actions" and better serve the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC). This conference was held in parallel with the "2024 ILSTC Economic Development Forum."

The ILSTC is a vital component of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project. It utilizes multimodal transport methods—railway, highway, waterway, and air—to reach Central Asia, South Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America. The aim is to create a service platform that closely links global commercial flows and logistics, and support the Belt and Road Initiative and ILSTC. It will also support the export of capacity and products from central and western provinces, attract high-quality enterprises to settle in the support platforms and industrial cluster bases in central and western China, and coordinate existing logistics channels and port platform resources.
As the vice-chairman organization of the China-Africa Business Council, China Hyway has been working closely with colleagues from the council for many years to deepen cooperation with multiple countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, including those in Africa. In the future, we will strengthen cooperation with more enterprises in the fields of economy and trade, logistics, and more to promote high-quality sustainable development of China-Africa cooperation in the new era.
