On August 23, on the eve of the new summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), as one of the supporting activities of the forum, the Launching Ceremony of the Report on Chinese Investment in Africa 2024 and Invest in Africa Beijing Dialogue, guided by the Secretariat of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the FOCAC and hosted by the China-Africa Business Council, was successfully held in Beijing. The Report on Chinese Investment in Africa 2024—China-Africa Investment Cooperation: A New Impetus to Africa's Industrialization was released in Chinese, English, and French versions at the ceremony.

During the conference, Hu Jiaming, Vice President of the China-Africa Business Council and President of China Hyway Group Limited, received an interview with the CRI Online journalist. He emphasized that when investing in Africa, enterprises must not only ensure the high-quality completion of projects but also comply with local laws and regulations and respect local cultures. Additionally, maintaining open and effective communication with local communities is crucial for building trust and enhancing understanding. Hu Jiaming particularly highlighted the importance of nurturing local professionals and management talent for the successful implementation of projects and the sustainable development of enterprises in the region. He also mentioned that enterprises should diligently fulfill their social responsibilities locally, as this is not only a contribution to the local society but also a vital component of sustainable corporate development.
