After Ten Years of Diligent Effort, Moçâmedes Railway Successfully Completed
—Temporary Acceptance Event of Moçâmedes Railway Overhaul Project
On September 11, 2015, at the request of Ministry of Transport of Angola, Angola National Institute of Railroad (INCFA) and Moçâmedes Railway Bureau, our company held a temporary acceptance (equivalent to China's handover acceptance) ceremony at Matala Station.
Júlio Joaquim, Director of INCFA, Ms. Chipalavela, Vice Governor of Huíla Province, Cunha Velho, Vice Governor of Huíla Province, Daniel Quipaxe, Director of Moçâmedes Railway Bureau, leaders of our company such as Wei Ruihai, He Tingjin, Fang Changlu, Xue Zhongchun, and Chen Gengkuan, construction personnel involved in the construction, representatives from various regions of Angola, national television participated in the event.
The acceptance event officially started at 7 o'clock. The participants took the train from Premier Level Lubango Station to Matala and stopped in Olivensha for a short time. Ms. Chipalavela, Vice Governor of Huíla Province, and Wei Ruihai, General Manager of our company, presented flowers to the Monument to the Victims of the Train Massacre in Olivensha (May 27, 1993).
The leaders and the delegation visited Premier Level Lubango Station and Level 1 Gebengu Station respectively. During this period, communication tests were carried out with the Lubango traffic dispatching room and traffic duty rooms of two adjacent stations at Gebengu Railway Station where they stopped and randomly selected section communication columns. Vice Governor Ms. Chipalavela, Director of Angola National Institute of Railroad Júlio Joaquim, and others communicated clearly and smoothly with Lubango and Matala railway stations by telephone. The crowd burst into warm applause to congratulate on the successful completion of the test.
