Angola's Minister of Transport and His Delegation Cut Ribbon for Completion of Railway Station Undertaken by Our Project Company

On October 25, 2013, a delegation including Augusto da Silva Tomás, Angola's Minister of Transport; Director of Angola's National Railway Research Institute; Governor of Namibe Province; Daniel Quipaxel, Director of Moçâmedes Railway Bureau; and other provincial- and ministerial-level officials, cut the ribbon for the completion of the Yilawuer Bridge, Guanhaitan, Maquelo, Gaergangta, Wengbiya, and Nangongbei stations undertaken by Moçâmedes Railway Project Company under China Hyway Group Limited.

On the morning of October 25, representatives from our side, including Huang Hai, Chief Engineer and Executive Deputy General Manager of Moçâmedes Railway Project Company; He Tingjin, Deputy General Manager of Moçâmedes Railway Project Company; Fang Changlu; Yang Yi, General Manager Assistant of Moçâmedes Railway Project Company; and Li Mi, Director of the General Office of the Company, arrived at the departure station, Namibe Station. Colorful flags fluttered outside the station, and local residents welcomed the arrival of the delegation with songs and dances in the most joyful manner. At 11:20 a.m., the delegation arrived at Namibe Station, and the crowd erupted in cheers, elevating the atmosphere to a peak of excitement. The delegation shook hands with and greeted the leaders of our project company. Huang Hai, Chief Engineer and Executive Deputy General Manager of Moçâmedes Railway Project Company conveyed warm regards from Liu Daiwen, Chairman of China Hyway, to Tomás. At 11:30 a.m., the delegation departed from Namibe Station by train. During the journey, Tomás expressed satisfaction with the railway construction along the route, the train's operational status, and the onboard facilities. At 12:25 a.m., Tomás and the Governor of Namibe Province cut the ribbon for Guanhaitan Station, undertaken by Moçâmedes Railway Project Company, amidst the singing of local residents. They then proceeded to tour the station hall, where the railway director accompanied them and introduced the structural features and equipment layout of the station. Tomás was pleased with the newly constructed station. At 7:30 p.m., the delegation arrived at the final station— Nangongbei. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place amid heavy rain, yet the atmosphere remained exceptionally lively.
