China's Vice Minister of Commerce Fu Ziying Holds a Symposium with Representatives of Chinese-funded Institutions in Guinea Including China Hyway

News from Guinea Branch — On April 14, 2011, China's Vice Minister of Commerce Fu Ziying held a symposium with representatives of Chinese-funded institutions in Guinea, including China Hyway Group Limited, at the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Guinea. More than 50 people attended the symposium, including Mr. Si Xubin, Deputy General Manager of China Hyway Group Limited, Mr. Zhu Xisong, Deputy General Manager of China Hyway Group Limited Guinea Branch, and representatives from other Chinese-funded institutions in Guinea.

Vice Minister Fu Ziying first extended sincere regards to the representatives present at the symposium and then expressed his appreciation for the remarkable achievements made by Chinese enterprises in Guinea. Vice Minister Fu stated that Guinea was the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. For over half a century, the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries have continuously developed. The two sides have supported each other in their respective national development efforts and achieved fruitful results in the fields of economy, trade, culture, education, and health. The political relations between China and Guinea are robust, with a traditional friendship deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Guinea boasts abundant resources and has promising prospects for economic cooperation. He encouraged all Chinese-funded institutions to work hard to jointly push mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Guinea to new heights, making it develop in line with the friendly political relations between the two countries. Additionally, he hoped that all Chinese-funded enterprises would adopt new mindsets and seize opportunities to advance work with "integrity" and occupy the market with "strengths".

Finally, Vice Minister Fu encouraged everyone to strike a healthy balance between work and rest and take good care of themselves. He also urged everyone to abide by local laws and regulations, respect the customs of Guinea, conduct business in a civilized manner, and make significant contributions to promoting economic and trade exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Guinea and consolidating their traditional friendship.
