Angola's Minister of Transport Cuts Ribbon for Railway Bureau Hospital and Canteen Renovation Projects Undertaken by Moçâmedes Railway Project Company

On June 15, 2010, at dawn, a delegation led by the Angolan Minister of Transport Tomás, along with Kuvíngua, Vice Minister of Transport, and Isaac, Governor of Huíla Province, arrived at the site of the Angola Railway Bureau Hospital. Together with over 100 Chinese and Angolan staff who had been waiting there for a long time, they participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the completion and acceptance of two projects undertaken by the Moçâmedes Railway Project Company of China Hyway Group Limited: the renovation and expansion of the hospital and the decoration of the Railway Bureau canteen.

The renovation and expansion project of the Railway Bureau Hospital commenced in June 2009 and was completed in December 2009. After completion, it was handed over to the Railway Bureau for medical equipment installation. The project covers a total construction area of over 800 square meters, with six new auxiliary buildings built around the original hospital structure. It integrates administrative office, outpatient service, medical treatment, examination, pharmacy, physical examination, and staff accommodation, greatly optimizing and upgrading the layout and functions of the original hospital. The project involved the construction of two new ward areas, expanding the capacity from the original 10 beds to 60 beds, thereby better meeting the hospitalization needs of patients. After the completion of the outpatient comprehensive renovation project, the medical room area has been expanded by 108 square meters. This expansion enables the provision of "one-stop" services such as hospital guidance and pre-examination, providing convenience and comfort for patients. The operation of the hospital complex has revitalized the medical room resources of the whole hospital to some extent.

The decoration project for the railway bureau canteen commenced in May 2009 and was completed in July. The project restructured the original internal layout to make more effective use of space resources. The exterior repair and reinforcement and the new interior structure give the canteen a completely refreshed appearance with an integrated design. This not only prevents water leakage but also eliminates water seepage. After the renovation, the canteen includes an 80-square-meter kitchen dedicated to Western cuisine and a 20-square-meter bakery, allowing it to accommodate 100 diners simultaneously.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Angolan minister of transport highly praised the high quality and efficiency of the above two projects and expressed great expectations for the quality and schedule of the Moçâmedes Railway Overhaul Project undertaken by our company.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was a combination of Chinese and Western styles, featuring both Western champagne spraying and Chinese colored paper fireworks. Leaders from the Moçâmedes Railway Project Company of China Hyway Group Limited, including Wei Ruihai, Qi Feng, Xue Zhongchun, and Yang Yi, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
