——Vice President Wei Ruihai and Deputy Director of General Office Zhang Yan of Hyway Group Were Present at Jimei University’s 100th Anniversary and Extended their Regards to Students at “Jimei University-China Hyway International Program” from Angola

On October 20, 2018, Jimei University held the 100th anniversary meeting; leaders at each level, schoolfellow at domestic and abroad and the public got together to celebrate the 100th anniversary. Vice President Wei Ruihai and Deputy Director of General Office Zhang Yan of Hyway Group were invited to join Jimei University’s 100th anniversary, and expressed their regards to the 32 students in the “Jimei University-China Hyway International Program” from Angola accompanied by Vice Dean Chen Tongwen and Deputy Party Secretary Lu Qile of the Overseas Education College.

          Vice President Wei Ruihai and Deputy Director of General Office Zhang Yan of Hyway Group visited the History Museum of Jimei University and experienced Jimei University’s history of hundreds of years accompanied by Lu Qile, Deputy Party Secretary of the Overseas Education College. With an origin traced back to Jimei Normal School founded in 1918 by Chen Jiageng, a famous Chinese patriotic leader overseas, and the Fisheries and Business divisions founded later as well as the merger of five colleges in 1980s, Jimei University, during the past one hundred years, always sticks to the school motto “sincerity and perseverance - treat people with sincerity and take perseverance to deal with matters” and has cultivated lots of talents.

Wei Ruihai, Vice President of Hyway Group, then made a close discussion with the teachers and students from “Jimei University-China Hyway International Program”. Vice President Wei Ruihai extended his sincere congratulations on the successful hosting of “Jimei University 100th Anniversary Commemoration Meeting”, was glad to see the study achievements made by the students from Angola at China, and said that leaders from Hyway Group will attend at the commencement in the next July to see the students’ study achievements made in Jimei University, as well as hopes that the students will try their best to study and seize the opportunity as Angola is learning from the world, adopting opening and reform like China and inviting investment from the world, and there is urgent need in talents skilled at Chinese and economic.

Leaders from Jimei University also said that “Jimei University-China Hyway International Program” marks the beginning of school-enterprise cooperation and expressed thanks to China Hyway Group for its support and trust and to the leaders for their joining in the celebration activities. They pointed out that the students from the International Program not only learn Chinese and professional skills but also the courage and industry,  persevering and persistent as well as self-discipline and social commitment of the Chinese people, and hopes that each student will make contribution to China-Angola economy and partnership after graduation.

Students from the International Program expressed their thanks to Hyway Group and Jimei University, and extended their sincere congratulations on the 100th anniversary of Jimei University. The students talked about their anticipated work actively in the meeting; some of them hope to return Angola and work and also hope that they will have opportunities to work in Hyway Group; some of them wish to pursue further study or work in China.
